Getting five servings of vegetables a day can be a real challenge and definitely takes some deliberate actions to succeed. However, the research is unfailing in repeatedly showing the enormous amount of health benefits. Take this challenge and see what it can do for you!
Specifics: A serving of vegetables is as follows:
1 cup of raw vegetables such as:
Chopped celery, cucumber, peppers, tomatoes
Dark leafy greens
½ cup of cooked vegetables
10-12 baby carrots
3 broccoli spears
Hint: I have discovered that it is very difficult to get all the required servings of vegetables at one meal (like dinner). Aim to get a couple at lunch or plan a snack that incorporates a vegetable!
